When not walking or working in her organic garden, cooking gourmet meals with her husband of 30 years, or hanging with her two sons, Kris composes music and writes works of fiction. She dabbles in multiple fiction genres, including short stories, poems, and mystery, women's, and historical fiction.
After growing up in a tiny town in the Midwest, she earned a bachelor's and master's degree in music theory and composition, half of a master's in business administration, and a second master's in education.
Professionally, she leads global teams to craft stories to teach business skills to adults. She has lived her entire adult life in the Chicagoland area.
